These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising here from shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, you do not have permission to access the contents, application forms, and products of this website and therefore should cease using this website immediately.
Grants awarded by Help For Young Families are not loans. Grants are not awarded in exchange for, or as a charge against property. Awards are not an investment offered in exchange for equity or any other future financial instruments or receipts. Awards are grants funded by donations and Awards to relieve the impacts of wage poverty in England and Wales.
Grants:
Upon meeting requirements, successful applicants will receive a financial award which is expressly and exclusively for the purpose of a deposit towards the purchase of a home, within great Britain. Only first time buyers are eligible. Requirements include, institutional and government requirements, including help to buy schemes and any other requirements stipulated by Government and Help For Young Families and /or its partners. Upon an initial mortgage broker processing, applicants will receive a copy of our Grants Terms & Conditions along with a grant pledge release form. All Conditions and requirements relating to grants will be detailed in each applicants pledge letter. Help For Young Families reserve the right to withhold a grant or require repayment if:
it finds that any false information is supplied to the Charity of its partners deliberately.
Pledges:
Upon receipt of grant pledge letter (letter stating amount granted), applicants will recieve an award - usually within a week before exchange, and subject to applicant meeting all conditions outlined in their pledge release letter (letter stating all lender and legal requirements are met).
Once all conditions have been met, in compliance with individual pledge release letters, Help For Young Families will sign pledge release form and correspondingly the grant amount will be wired electronically to applicants conveyancing solicitor. Payment is only be made if Help For Young Families is content that pledge conditions have been met.
Publicity:
Occasionally, Help For Young Families may ask its grantees to assist by increasing the profile of its grant making activity. This is done in order to encourage future eligible applications. This will be specified within grant pledge letters
